Im always told to see todays a pod on web-site. If I wanted to see new pictures on website, Id go to web-site. But I installed this app to see pictures in app!

sometimes it doesnt download the APOD because the picture "is too large"

Nothings for free. Devs want me to "upgrade" in order to skip ads, & visit their site for low-rez videos. Whats really odd though, is scrolling through thumbnail view has some images overlapping others, seemingly at random. Either poorly written, or maybe conflict with iOS 9.3.1 on an iPad. Other photo / video galleries dont seem to have that problem. ---- Quick Edit: why not just get NASA & JPL apps? Much better from the source!

Hello. I love this apod app. I use this app daily. I would like if it was compatible with Pinterest! The photos and the information is so fascinating, I want to share it with others. Besides the compatibility part, the app is awesome. If you love space, download this app. New photos each day :)

However it drives me nuts that so many now do not show/direct you to the website. I want pics on the app, which is why I have it.

Up till last update a great app that I have had for about three years. Now crashes No landscape pictures No scanning previous pictures I guess I will delete now

The app (which used to be one of my favorites) will no longer work in landscape mode, which makes it difficult to use. Scrolling seems backwards: swiping from right to left beings up OLDER photos, which is counter to nearly every other app on iOS. The interface is confusing in other ways, and the ads are annoying.

Love the app, hate the upgrade. Ads are distracting and lack of landscape makes it worse.

Way easier to find images you want to view, great info screen, and I can remove the ads for $2, which I did.

So, I make it a personal policy never to write reviews, but I have to violate it to say that the most recent APOD update not only makes our ability to look at pretty pictures looking to the stars easier, but all much more aesthetically pleasing. I am probably going to waste inordinate amounts of time going through these photos now.

Ive been a big fan of APOD for years. The latest update that now requires a fee to remove adds and wont work in the landscape mode pretty much ruins the experience. Very disappointing.

Ive been using this app for about 5 years or so. I just wanted to write a review to advocate for another update, because there is a major problem for me right now. It crashes on my iPhone 5 (updated iOS) whenever I open it. I have been reading the other reviews about its new user interface, ads, and inability to view pictures in landscape mode, but having been unable to access the whole app, I guess I have no say yet. Please fix the app soon. Just for the record, I would also like to have ads removed without having to pay and to have landscape viewing. Otherwise, the app is an excellent utility for viewing APOD.
