Astronomy Picture of the Day App Reviews

I really liked this app, but recent updates have included some big steps backwards. For instance, we used to be able to clear all photos from the cache, and now the option seems to have gone missing. It seems my only recourse is to delete the app and re-download it. There needs to be a "clear cache" button to keep this app from eating hundreds of megabytes of storage on my phone.

This is one of my favorite apps! The photographs are amazing and the information about each image is well written. It is technical but not over my head. My only complaint is that the links to further information are in dark blue. I have difficulty seeing them. The non linked text is white and very easy to see / read. Please consider trying other colors for the linked text. Thanks for a wonderful app!

You can send men to the moon and land on comets 10 years away, but you cant get this app to work in landscape. Amazing. This was one of my favorite apps and I checked it everyday. But since my ipad is always in landscape mode, this app is not only annoying, it is useless.

I like the idea of having favorites, but not letting us access that link or share, and having every other word be a hyperlink in the description is too much. They made me start to hate my favorite app. Too sad. It used to be 5 stars.

I used to love coming to see the pictures and if there was one I liked then I could save it. Ever since the last update you cant save the pictures anymore. There is just a white box... Please fix

last update fixed things for my iPhone 6, but, now my iPad Mini share/save function no longer works, just shows an empty white box in that area. like the app! …please fix this issue…seems others have it too, but, as I said, iPhone 6 fine now. issue is with iPad Mini 1st gen (non-retina)

I have the white box issue on my iPad 4th Gen and iPad Air 2 as mentioned in other reviews, and its quite annoying. However, the white box is not actually empty, folks: the share/save buttons are still there, they are just also plain white. Tap in the box and you will see... Its just tough to guess where the correct button you are looking for is within the white square... but they do work! Still, this issue needs to be fixed!

Great app, lots of fun, but the font is too small. It would be great if they gave the option to enlarge the font.

I wont update, sorry nasa, your icon dev have to learn to much about design. I like the old icon, with the space in back and the nasa icon in center front

I have loved your app forever! The photographs are gorgeous and unusual. I start everyday with them. I can live with the ads too, your app is well worth it! But please give the pop-up ads the ability to pop-down again. Right now they block the bottom of the photo!

I love the pictures of the universe the makers of this app make it easy to see. On a day by day basis, you get a reminder of how beautiful and filled with wonders the universe is by gorgeous high quality pics. Thank you for this app. Hugs!!! Paul Daniel

Latest update to my iPhone was confusing when it came to finding how to download to iPhoto. Saw by accident the three dots in upper right of picture.

I love this App and use to check it everyday...but now it will not open on my iPad 2 anything from June 10 2015 on.....what gives

I cant stand to look at the gorgeous daily astronomy pics here anymore because of the disgusting ads. A great app ruined by ads.
